New photos

by Kevin

Today I was out taking some more photos to post, and the snake (or one of the snakes) that lives near the house was out sunbathing in the driveway, so I tried to get a good picture of him. All of the pictures I took of it turned out blurry, but here is the one that turned out the best. The other photos are in my photo section.

New Photo

by Kevin

I took this photo earlier today, and thought that it would make a good desktop background. I uploaded a small 700 x 525 in the general section photo gallery. I decided to put a 1280 x 1024 version of this photo. Looking at it as my desktop background just makes me want to share this one. The small version is here. To get the larger version click here.

New Photo

by Kevin

I just uploaded a new photo of some flowers. It is actually the same as the one just before it, but I enhanced the color just a little bit. I think I’m going to start doing that a little more. I prefer the colors to be as much from the camera as possible, but flowers really do look better when the colors are made a little more vibrant. The link to see the new photo is listed below.

Pee Here

by Kevin

I actually took this picture 2 years ago, but today I was looking through my pictures trying to decide which ones I haven’t put on my site that would be good to put. Well I saw this one and thought that it would be a good one to put on my blog. We went to Tony’s grove to walk around. I don’t remember what the fee is for exactly, but this post is where you are supposed to put the money, and somebody went and changed the ‘F’ to a ‘P’ I thought that was kind of funny so I took a picture of it. Remember “Pee Here”

New Photo

The other day I went to Layton City Park with my sister to take some pictures. We went at about 8pm so it was starting to get kind of dark. Unfortunately I was not able to get any really good pictures. I got one that is pretty good considering I didn’t have a tripod and I am kind of shaky.

This last weekend my nephew and niece stayed at the house with us. It was a lot of fun, and a lot of work, to have them over. My nephew, Sam, is a little ball of energy. When he is awake he almost never stops. His little sister Tiffany is about the same, but a little more manageable because she can only scoot around.

Here’s a picture of Tiffany.

Isn’t she just adorable.

Sam is harder to get a good picture of because he is always moving.

There he goes!

Frontrunner

by Kevin

Yesterday I rode the new Frontrunner commuter train into Salt Lake City with my sister. It only took a little more than a half hour to get there from Layton, and once there we didn’t have to find parking we just hopped onto Trax and went to the Temple Square stop. We walked around Temple Square and took pictures. There were four weddings going on, at least we saw four different wedding groups getting pictures taken. After that we walked up to the Cathedral of the Madeleine. We walked around for awhile then got on Trax again and headed for the Gateway. We ate lunch there, and then went to the Barnes and Noble. Then we headed back home. It was actually pretty fun, and very cheap. The only thing we spent money on was lunch, thanks to the UTA Ed pass. Parking wasn’t too much of a hassle (the Layton parking lot for the train was nearly full).

I’m excited to ride the train into Salt Lake when I return to classes at the U of U in the fall, and I plan on going into downtown Salt Lake a few more times this summer. For anybody that lives north of Salt Lake taking the train is, in my opinion, probably the best way to go.
